?An updated version of the Copa Mundial, Adidas kept tradition as well as comfort in mind when they came out with the adiPure IV in 2010. The unique old school design as well as the amazing padding around the heel area made the adiPure IV a huge hit among amateurs and professionals alike. Even the studs were traditional compared to the round ones which further set the adiPure IV’s apart from the rest. If Adidas releases more adiPure IV like boots it would really be a pleasant surprise.

Adidas are well known for their use of high tech technology in their boots by the adiZero miCoach took that philosophy to a whole new level. The boot came with a chip (a bit too Batmanish don’t you think?) that tracked players performance and suggested areas to improve on. No other boot used the help of a computer to improve performance, which made the miCoach’s a bit futuristic. This high tech technology combined with Messi’s endorsement caused the adiZero miCoach’s to fly off the shelves.

Adidas F50 Adizero

The boot most commonly associated with Lionel Messi announced itself with a bang in 2010. The F50 Adizero was the first boot released by Adidas to focus on speed, something it had been ignoring in the previous years in favour of power. Adidas F50i TUNit

This bizarre boot really took the world by storm when it was released back in 2009. Rather than have several boots for different surfaces it was better to have one boot that could be used on any surface and that was exactly what the TUNit was meant for. The tech savvy boot came with an interchangeable sole plate which allowed the wearer to switch studs according to the surface he’s playing on. The bad part about the boots were that they were too bulky and the time it took to change the studs was frustrating which is why they were soon phased out.
