Tomorrow is the biggest game of the season as Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are ready to do battle. But both clubs have already begun planning for next season. Jose Mourinho was also announced officially by Manchester United today and also gave his first press conference.
The Portuguese has already started making up a lost of players he wants to bring to the club. There is also big manager news coming from Spain so here are the list of news and rumours for the day.
Serie A
- Roma defender Antonio Rudiger has expressed his happiness at being at the club, but has left the door for a transfer wide open. The 23-year-old center-back is said to be on the radar of many clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund. Rudiger has been quoted as saying to Revier Sport. “I'm currently a Roma player and I'm very happy here”
- Juventus Director of football Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed Patrice Evra’s contract renewal, but has refused to speak up on transfer targets Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano. “Dani Alves and Mascherano? I won’t confirm it and I won’t deny it,” Marotta told Il Mattino. “At the moment, we’re at the stage of confirming our current block. Our group is difficult to improve, and we have no intention of selling, so much so that in the next few days we’ll renew with Evra.”
- Barcelona are looking to interfere with Juventus to sign Sassuolo's Domenico Berardi, as reported by Football Italia. The 21-year-old has been recognized as one of the best strikers in Seria A, and earlier reports had suggested that a move to the Old Lady was just short of some mere formalities. However, The Spanish newspaper has insisted that Berardi was present in Barcelona personally last week and that he had some contacts with Juve’s directors.
Premier League
– Manchester United are waiting for Mourinho’s green light to launch a bid for AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas. The Red Devils are looking to improve their backline with Daley Blind not known to be a natural centre back. Manolas has impressed this season with Roma and was close to signing for Arsenal a few years back but chose the Italians instead.
– United are also targeting Inter striker Mauro Icardi. The forward has been in excellent form this season and United are in need of firepower up front. Mourinho is reportedly looking to use Zlatan Ibrahimovic as bait to lure the player to Old Trafford. Javier Zanetti earlier stated that the player won’t be leaving this summer but journalist Tancredi Palmeri has said United have made contact reports Sportsmole.
– According to the Mirror, Manchester United and Chelsea will do battle to sign Everton’s Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has confirmed he wants to leave the club and has been linked heavily with a return to his former team but Jose Mourinho won’t give up without a fight.
La Liga
– Aaron Ramsey has admitted he would one day love to play in La Liga. Speaking to Marca, he was asked about playing for Barcelona one day to which he replied , “Barca plays very good football and Arsenal want to do the same. I’ve said it once: I would love to someday play in La Liga, at one of the greats. I see their league each week. It suits my style. Maybe I will someday, who knows what will happen in the future?”
– In manager news, Unai Emery is being lined up by Real Madrid as reported by AS. There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez has apparently sent the Sevilla manager a message telling him to wait until the UCL final is over.
– Real Madrid have decided to make Paul Pogba their primary target this summer. The French midfielder is one of the best players in the world and Los Blancos are ready to make their move. According to Fichajes.net they are willing to offer Toni Kroos in a swap deal to tempt Juventus.

– In a shock twist, PSG have emerged as new competition for the signature of Alvaro Morata. The striker has been linked with moves to Arsenal and a return to his old club Real Madrid. The express.co.uk is reporting that PSG have met with Juanma Lopez twice in the last 10 days and that their interest is genuine.
– Celebrity Gunners fan Piers Morgan has tweeted that Mesut Ozil is considering offers from Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The German is apparently upset with Arsenal’s season, with contract talks also stalling.
– Leroy Sane has thrown his future into doubt. The German star said he is concentrating on the Euros when questioned about a move away from the club as quoted by Daily Star. "I am here with a goal in mind and that is to be in the final Euro squad. I have not thought about any of this [speculation]."I will see what happens on May 31. I still have a contract at Schalke and I feel well there. Everything else is in the background at the moment and my focus is on the Euros.” Both United and City are linked with the player
