Today's stories feature the latest update on some of the major happenings in world football which may change the complexion of a few clubs. So let's head right in and take a look at the major happenings across Europe that made headlines on June 23, 2017:


Serie A

Antonio Conte wants Juventus player at Stamford Bridge

The Blues’ man in charge has made it clear to the Chelsea hierarchy that he wants a world-class centre-back signing this summer. He wants either Virgil Van Dijk or Leonardo Bonucci with the Juventus man being more of a priority. Juventus are ready to let him go for more than £50 million and with Van Dijk costing around £60 million, it makes sense for Chelsea to target one of the best centre-backs in the world.


Inter Milan eye move for Juventus target

The Nerazzurri are all set to hijack Juventus' move for Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. Evening Standard reports that Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalleti, who coached the custodian at AS Roma, is a big fan of the Arsenal player and wants to take him under his wing at the San Siro.

Meanwhile, Juventus want him as a deputy for Gianluigi Buffon till the next season and are ready to pay £15 million for the Polish keeper. It remains to be seen whether Inter match that offer or submit an even larger bid.


Fiorentina midfielder on Spurs radar

With Eric Dier being courted by Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur have started looking for his replacement. According to Talksport, their search has led them to Fiorentina's midfielder Matteo Vecino. The 25-year-old played 40 matches for La Viola last season and is highly rated in Florence. Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a big fan and a source close to the team understands that Spurs are readying a £20 million bid for the midfielder.

Liverpool are keen on signing the Gabonese hitman

Borussia Dortmund set price for star striker

The German club have made it clear that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be sold only if a bid of at least £63 million comes along for the Gabonese striker. Liverpool are said to be interested in the striker with Jurgen Klopp keen on working with Aubameyang again. Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said recently, “We will listen to it when a club is willing to show its appreciation for Aubameyang in a financial way as well."


Ingolstadt keen on keeping hold of star defender

The Bundesliga side have made it clear that their Austrian left back Marcus Suttner is not for sale. Premier League new boys, Brighton and Hove Albion were keen on the fullback and were ready to offer £2 million but Argus has claimed that Ingolstadt are in no mood to listen to offers from Brighton or any other club.

The French striker is very close to a move to Arsenal

Liverpool enter Kylian Mbappe race

The Telegraph understands that the Reds are preparing a mega-money move to lure football's hottest property Kylian Mbappe to Anfield. Mbappe has been targeted by almost all of Europe's top clubs with Liverpool being the latest to enter the race. Marca also claimed that Liverpool had a €100 million bid rejected earlier, with Monaco holding out for a fee in the region of €135 million.


Arsenal favourites to land Alexandre Lacazette

After tasting defeat in their pursuit of Monaco's Mbappe, Arsenal have set their sights on other alternatives. L'equipe reports that Arsene Wenger is toying with the idea of bringing in Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates. Lyon want €60 million for their valuable asset with Arsenal ready to pay the mentioned price.


Southampton appoint Mauricio Pellegrino

The 45-year-old Argentinian will take charge of the south coast club soon. The club made it official just a while back with the former Barcelona and Liverpool player expected to be a big hit at St. Mary's. He has a similar style to Mauricio Pochettino and believes in promoting talents from the academy. Pellegrino, who last managed Alaves in La Liga, is a perfect fit for Southampton.

Manchester United to submit a bid for Jordi Alba

ESPN has claimed that Jose Mourinho's search for a new left-back has ended with Barcelona's Jordi Alba on top of their list of priorities. Manchester United are expected to offload Luke Shaw this summer which means there will be an opening in the first team squad. Alba is mulling over the idea of leaving the Catalans and might be tempted by a move to one of the biggest clubs in the world. Barcelona will look to get at least £30 million for their academy product.

Zinedine Zidane contacts Kylian Mbappe

L'equipe has understood that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has personally contacted Kylian Mbappe who is keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. It is said that both Zidane and president Florentino Perez are in contact with Mbappe and his family over a reported £120 million deal for the teenager. Real Madrid are ready to sell one of their top players this summer in order to accommodate Mbappe in the first team squad.

Fabinho wants a move to Manchester United

Fabinho tempted by a move to Manchester United

Fabinho is on Manchester United's radar with Monaco making it clear that they will let the midfielder leave for a sum of €45 million. In a recent interview, Fabinho said that he is tempted by a move to England, which has effectively opened the gates for his transfer to the Premier League.

Frank De Boer set to grace England

The former Ajax and Inter Milan manager is all set to begin his journey in the Premier League with Crystal Palace. The Guardian reports that De Boer has agreed to take over the reins from Sam Allardyce who decided to call it a day in May.
