Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. Reportedly, Manchester United have finally wrapped up Paul Pogba’s move back to Old Trafford. Elsewhere Everton are confident of signing LIverpool’s key attacker while there is a concrete report on the next club for Juventus striker Simone Zaza.

On that note, here are the transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on August 4th.

Wojciech Szczesny to stay in Roma

- Wojciech Szczesny has landed in Rome to complete his medicals, confirming that he will stay with Roma permanently. According to reports from Gazzetta, the transfer will be made official in coming hours after Arsenal agreed to sell their shot-stopper in a reported £13m deal.

- Inter are looking to pick up Lucas Biglia from Lazio, but only after selling some of their players. Tuttosport are convinced that Inter are not done signing Lazio’s star men after agreeing to sign Antonio Candreva.

- Gustavo Gomez will complete his move to AC Milan on Thursday afternoon, according to reports from Premium Sports. The 23-year-old will move to San Siro on an initial one-year loan deal with an option to buy him next summer.

Draxler to Arsenal nearing?

- Wolfsburg are targeting Juventus striker Simone Zaza in case Julian Draxler leaves in coming weeks. As per Gazzetta dello Sport, the German side have already come forward with a €25m offer but Zaza prefers to stay in Italy. However, Juve could cash-in on the player to press for their big money signing Gabigol.

- Javier Hernandez has fueled rumours of him moving away from Bayer Leverkusen this summer despite enjoying a successful debut season. In a recent interview with Kicker, Chicharito said: "You never know what happens in football. It motivates me if I am a theme for other clubs.”

- Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler did not travel with the squad for the friendly in Malmo according to Kickr. The report suggests that he has a knee injury but the media claims that Draxler is not happy after Wolfsburg’s public denial of selling him. Arsenal are linked with a move for Draxler this summer.

Pogba to United done?

- Everton are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. The Express claims that Ronald Koeman sees Benteke as the ideal option if Romelu Lukaku leaves Goodison Park this summer. Benteke is valued at £32m by the Anfield club.

- Manchester United have completed Paul Pogba’s record-breaking transfer, reports Manchester Evening News. Local newspaper are convinced of the deal being wrapped up with news to be broken after Pogba’s lengthy summer break gets over on August 6.

- Leicester City owner has made it clear that Riyad Mahrez is not for sale in a cheeky Instagram post. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha posted a picture holding Mahrez’s ears and captioned it as “You not for sell”. Make that what you want to Arsenal fans.

Alaba to Real Madrid?

- Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has signaled his intentions of keeping Marc-Andre Ter-Stegen at Camp Nou this summer. The keeper has been priced at €67m amidst an interest from Manchester City.

- AS have reported that Real Madrid are ready to make a €65 million bid for Bayern Munich star David Alaba. Zinedine Zidane is keen on the player who can also be used in a defensive midfield position.

- Ben Yedder was unveiled by Sevilla after the talented French striker completed a €9m move to La Liga.

Rest of Europe

Persie says no to Stoke

- It is reported that former Milan defender Alex is in talks to complete a move to Porto. The Brazilian is currently a free agent and is linked heavily with the Portuguese side.

- According to Mirror, Robin Van Persie has turned down a chance to sign for Stoke on loan this season. Former Arsenal and Manchester United striker is linked with a move away from Fenerbahce and is also linked with Leicester City.

- Florian Thauvin has officially returned to Marseille, ending speculation about Lazio’s interest. As per Football Italia, the player was on the verge of joining Lazio and had medical planned with them as well. However, delay in negotiations allowed his former club to make a swoop and complete his signing.
