A certain French midfielder has revealed he dreamt of playing for Manchester United, and is flattered by the interest of Real Madrid.
A club official of a Turkish club admits they’ve agreed a deal for Liverpool star, whilst Jorge Mendes has been offering a Chelsea fan favourite to several clubs.
Here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on 6th August:
Serie A
- Serie A clubs Inter and Napoli have been offered Diego Costa by his agent Jorge Mendes, reports Corriere dello Sport. It is claimed Romelu Lukaku is set to arrive at Chelsea at that could put Costa’s future in doubt.
- According to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in the services of Luis Gustavo. Wolfsburg have slapped a price tag of €18m for the midfielder.
- Thomas Vermaelen is on the verge of completing his move to AS Roma, reports Corriere dello Sport. AS Roma have agreed a loan fee of €2m with Barcelona for the former Arsenal skipper.
Bundesliga
- The future of Julian Draxler is uncertain at Wolfsburg. According to Gianluca di Marzio, Paris-Saint Germain are interested in the German international and have made a concrete approach.
- According to Bild, Liverpool youngster Allan Rodrigues de Souza has passed a medical at Hertha Berlin ahead of a season-long loan move. The Brazilian midfielder is yet to receive a work permit to play for Liverpool.
- According to Tuttosport, Schalke have made an offer of €23 million offer for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina. The former Marseille man is expected to leave the Serie A giants this summer.
Premier League
- Arsenal had discussions with Turkish star Ouzhan Özyakup to bring him back to the club, reports Milliyet. Ozyakup, however, wants to stay at Besiktas next season, and help them in the Champions League.
- Galatasaray’s board member, Levent Nazifo, has confirmed to Turkish website Yeni Safal that the club have a deal agreed with Liverpool for the transfer of Lucas.
He said:”We had taken initiatives to sign Lucas. We had agreed on everything with Liverpool. However, there are injury concerns in the team.”
- Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko has revealed to French newspaper L’Equipe that he always wanted to play for Manchester United. The Championship side have slapped a price tag of €40m on the French midfielder.
La Liga
- Sevilla are interested in signing Luis Alberto from Liverpool and haven’t given up hopes, reports El Pais. Alberto could the next arrival at La Liga club, after the departure of Fernando Llorente to Swansea.
- French midfielder Moussa Sissoko has admitted to French newspaper L’Equipe that interest from Real Madrid is flattering, and he would certainly want to play for them. The La Liga giants might have to put €40m on the table to sign him.
- Colombian striker Marlos Moreno has joined Deportivo La Coruna on loan from Manchester City. The player has signed a five-year contract at Manchester City, but the club felt he needed regular playing time elsewhere.
Rest of Europe
- Stoke City are interested in the services of Fenerbahce star Robin Van Persie, reports AMK Spor. Fenerbahce have set an asking price of €6m, whilst Stoke City have already met his agent.
- Sunderland have agreed a fee with Rubin Kazan for French midfielder, Yann M'Vila, L’Equipe reports. The Frenchman has signed a four-year contract at the Premier League side after having spent the last season on loan at the club.
- Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair is set to be reunited with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, reports Daily Mail. A fee of €4.5m has been agreed between both the clubs, and the player is now expected to undergo medicals.
