Welcome to our daily transfer rumour round-up. As always, we’ve compiled some of the best transfer rumours doing the rounds today. Arsenal are prepared to let Olivier Giroud leave the club for a Serie A star.
Jose Mourinho is planning to sell some of the star players at Manchester United, whilst Liverpool are in pole position to sign a Championship player.
Here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on July 12th:
Serie A
- Inter star Davide Santon’s move to Sunderland collapsed in the last minute. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough are interested in signing him, and could be his next destination.
- Everton are interested in signing Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly, but haven’t made an offer yet, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The Merseyside club are expected to submit an offer in the next couple of days.
- Carlos Bacca’s agent, Sergio Barila, is expected in London today to conduct talks with AC Milan, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. West Ham have offered the player €3.5m a season, but his agent could ask for €4.5m-€5m a season.
English Premier League
- According to Daily Record, Jose Mourinho is ready to sell some of the big names at Manchester United. Juan Mata, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind could be sold this summer.
- The future of Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain is uncertain, with him refusing to sign a new contract at the Serie A club. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal are ready to offer €60m-€65m plus Olivier Giroud for Higuain. His release clause of €94m had expired on June 30th.
- According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal, Liverpool and AC Milan are interested in signing Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko. Apparently, Liverpool are in the pole position and have offered €21m for the Championship star.
La Liga
- According to AS, Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata is not for sale, and is set to stay at Santiago Bernabeu next season. His agent, Juanma Lopez, met Real Madrid yesterday to discuss Chelsea’s offer, but it was declined by the La Liga giants.
- Barcelona star Cristian Tello spent the last season, on loan, at Fiorentina, and the Serie A club want him back on loan. His agent has revealed to Tutto Mercato Web that Tello will train with Barcelona until July 17, and no decision is expected till then.
- According to Marca, the future of Claudio Bravo and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is uncertain, with one of them expected to leave. Manchester City are said to be interested in both the players, and a move for Bravo looks more feasible.
Rest of Europe
- Tottenham, today, annouced the signing of Dutch star Vincent Janssen. According to De Telegraaf, Janssen has signed a contract till 2020, with the option to extend it for another two years.
- West Ham are interested in signing Swansea striker Bafétimbi Gomis, reports L’Equipe. Marseille, however, remain in pole position to sign the player, and the player is also keen on signing for the Ligue 1 club.
- According to Portuguese media outlet O Jogo, Benfica star Talisca has informed his close friends that he is on the verge of signing for Liverpool. The player could cost Liverpool as much as £21m.
