Serie A

Paul Pogba juventus
Juventus will leave no stone unturned to keep Paul Pogba

Like every summer, the future of French star Paul Pogba is a talking point this summer too. According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Pogba doesn’t want to leave Juventus, and that the Serie A club are ready to offer him wages that could see him earning more than €6m per season. Apparently, Juventus have a plan to convince Pogba and his agent, Mino Raiola, not to discuss any possible transfer with Manchester United or Real Madrid. We won’t be surprised if Raiola, once again, ends up throwing chairs.

Former Barcelona star Dani Alves has arrived in Turin to complete his move to Juventus. The Brazilian completed his medical examination today, and a deal was announced soon after. Tutto Mercato Web reckons the player will be presented to the media tomorrow, and Italian media seem to be quite excited about it.

According to Calciomercato, AS Roma are keen on signing Croatian star Milan Badelj, who has been repeatedly linked to Tottenham. Fiorentina have set an asking price of €9m for the midfielder.

Medhi Benatia made a €26m move to Bayern Munich in 2014, and reports suggest he could be returning to Italy this summer. Tuttosport claim Juventus are in talks with Bayern Munich to sign Benatia. Juventus, however, want to sign the Moroccan international on loan, with an option to buy, but the Bavarian side are keen on a mandatory purchase option.

Premier League

Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Welcome to the Premier League?

The rumours of Manchester United possibly signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan is doing the rounds today. According to Sky Sports, the Premier League giants are close to completing the signing of the Armenian star for £26.3m, whilst German website Ruhr Nachrichten reckon Borussia Dortmund want €40m that converts to £33m in the current market. Ruhr Nachrichten also add Mkhitaryan could earn €12m per season at Manchester United, and that the deal could be completed in the ‘next few days’. Manchester United fans can only hope his agent, Mino Raiola, is not toying with the media.

Super Deporte in Spain reports Valencia youngster Ferhat Cogalan has traveled to England last week with his father and agent to hold negotiations with Manchester United. The 14-year-old is highly rated in Spain, and is also wanted by Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus.

From Sane to Mane. Yes, Liverpool are close to completing a deal for Southampton star Sadio Mane after both clubs agreed on a fee of £34m to £36m, reports BBC Radio Solent. Mane is currently undergoing a medical at Melwood, and a deal could be announced soon. The Reds have been previously linked to Schalke’s Leroy Sane and Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze, but have once again raided Southampton. At least Liverpool don’t need to add a new beneficiary to their online payments system.

According to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, Everton star Romelu Lukaku wants to sign for Arsenal this summer, although his £50m price tag could be a problem. Giulianelli says ‘informal contacts’ were made between the two clubs, but any deal is unlikely. So that’s basically a rumour made up by Mr.Giulianelli himself, and then denying it himself. Welcome to silly season.

Sky Sports believe Zlatan Ibrahimovic will undergo medicals at Manchester United next week after a one-year contract was agreed. The former Paris-Saint Germain recently announced his retirement from international football.

La Liga

Oliver Torres
Oliver Torres failed to get much of a look-in during his time at the Calderon

Atletico Madrid ace Oliver Torres could be leaving the club this summer, after struggling to get enough playing time last season. According to Spanish website Marca, Porto are interested in signing him, and that Atletico Madrid have asked for €30m. Marca, however, seem to have some secret information, as they believe Oliver Torres has a release clause of €26m, and it seems they’ve certainly saved the Portuguese club from getting robbed by Atletico Madrid. Well done, lads.

Neymar’s father has told Fox Sports Brazil that there is absolutely no chance of the Brazilian star signing for Real Madrid. Sky Sports say Barcelona are quite confident that Neymar will sign a new deal, and will remain at Camp Nou. The 24-year-old has another couple of years left on his current deal.

Barcelona have identified Hector Bellerin as a replacement of Dani Alves. Spanish journalist Guillem Balague says the Catalan giants believe they’ve got a chance to sign Bellerin, but Arsenal feel they’ve absolutely no chance.
