Twitter trolls Real Madrid and Ronaldo after dropping points to Las Palmas

Ronaldo endured a miserable night against Las Palmas

Real Madrid endured a difficult night away to Las Palmas, conceding late to draw 2-2 away to Las Palmas. With rivals Barcelona winning, Madrid’s advantage at the top of La Liga was clawed back to 1 point, as Real Madrid have followed their 16 game winning run by dropping points in consecutive games.

Marco Asensio gave a lacklustre Real Madrid the lead in the 33rd minute, before Tana equalised within 5 minutes to ensure the sides went into the break on level terms. Zinedine Zidane brought on Karim Benzema in the 64th minute and he made an instant impact, giving Real the lead 3 minutes later with a predatory finish.

Zidane then made the curious choice to substitute Cristiano Ronaldo, although the Portuguese forward looked less than pleased to come off, not making eye contact with his manager as he made his way to the bench. It came back to haunt Madrid, as Sergio Araujo, a former Barca B player, scored the equalizer for Las Palmas in the 85th minute, with Sergio Ramos and Kiko Casilla at fault.
