Khurshed Beknazarov of Tajikistan has been handed a two-year suspension by the AFC Disciplinary Committee for committing an anti-doping rule violation following the doping control conducted by the Olympic Council of Asia at the 17th Asian Games, Incheon 2014 in South Korea.The player tested positive for Methylhexaneamine after the match against Singapore on September 14. Methylexaneamine is a specified substance pursuant to the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List 2014.The AFC Disciplinary Committee had on September 24 provisionally suspended Beknazarov following the decision by the OCA Medical Committee & Anti-Doping Commission on September 23 to disqualify Beknazarov from the Asian Games 2014 in accordance with the OCA Anti-Doping Rules 2009.He is able to appeal the suspension to the AFC Appeal Committee in accordance with Article 61 of the AFC Anti-Doping Regulations and Article 118 of the AFC Disciplinary Code. The Tajikistan Football Federation has been notified of this decision.
