Porto's veteran Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas on Thursday expressed his happiness following his former football club Real Madrid's qualification to the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Casillas recorded his message while driving his car to Porto's training ground and spoke about 10-time European champions Real Madrid's qualification to the final after they beat Manchester City 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu during Wednesday's second leg semi-final.

"I'm very happy because Madrid deserves it and there are Madrid fans who suffer at a distance. I'm so glad for Madrid, for my friends and we'll see in Milan if La Undecima can be achieved," said the Spaniard, who won three Champions League titles (1999-2000, 2001-02, 2014-15).

As for the other semi-final match between Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, Casillas said "Bayern Munich v. Atletico Madrid was a good game and well contested. Two missed penalties, the goalkeepers were very good. Jan Oblak is having a good season and congratulations to Atletico for getting to the final."

The 2010 FIFA World Cup winner also highlighted developments in La Liga and expressed disappointment over Levante's relegation.

Casillas also wished good luck to Villarreal against Liverpool in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals and also to Sevilla against Shakhtar Donetsk.
