The UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour is set to make a stopover in Kolkata from November 13 to 15 on its global tour with the official broadcaster of the competition in India, Ten Sports, bringing the trophy to the City of Joy.
It is the second time that the UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour is coming to India within a few months as in February 2013 the tour had made a stopover in Mumbai.
In Kolkata the trophy will be on display at Mohun Bagan AC’s Kolkata maidan ground on November 13 afternoon at 4pm before it heads to the lounge & restaurant named ‘Afraa’ around 8pm. The day after on November 14 it will be on display at the South City Mall from 5pm onwards.
Currently German Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich are the defending champions of the UEFA Champions League and they had lifted the trophy having beaten German rivals Borussia Dortmund at Wembley 2-1 on May 25, 2013.
