Under-19 I-League: Tata Football Academy profile

The Tata Football Academy became the sixth and the final team to qualify for the Final Round of the Under-19 I-League 2013/14. They participated in the Rest Of India Zone Group B along with Eagles FC and MP United FC, and finished as the leaders in the end with six points from two games as they also scored a whopping nine goals in their two games.

The team, led by Head Coach Shakti Chauhan, begin their campaign in the Final Round of the Competition on April 21, where they take on East Bengal U-19, who qualified from the Kolkata Zone.

The TFA preparations for the U-19 I-League had started six weeks ago keeping the training cycle in mind. The philosophy of playing fast attacking and controlled football with emphasis on playing from the back in pre-rehearsed patterns of play.

Providing players with pictures in which their decision making process will be created in match situations. Whilst winning is Important, the objective is to perform in the best manner conducive to positive football ultimately – player development.
