It was a more than an ordinary night for Barcelona and Lionel Messi who broke Telmo Zarra’s long standing record of 251 goals in the La Liga to create history with a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 5-1 win against Sevilla. Messi grabbed a hat-trick to reach this milestone after entering into the match on 250 goals. He has reached this milestone in 289 appearances with a goal ratio of 0.88 goals per match.
