The Barcelona and Argentina talisman has wowed football fans all over the world with his ability to produce his best at a very consistent rate. The 4-time Ballon d’Or winner was instrumental in the Catalan club’s treble-winning campaign last season and has won numerous individual and team honours with Barcelona. He was also integral to Argentina’s run to the 2014 World Cup final and the Copa America final this season.
This video celebrates Messi’s genius and his ability to innovate and do something unorthodox. During a pre-match routine while on international duty with Argentina, he took a shot on goal, which hit another ball placed inside the penalty box. What happened next was that both balls went into the net, leaving the goalkeeper stranded. How much of it he intended is still not very clear, but yes, he does manage to stun us all on a regular basis.
