Iker Casillas has won the fans adoration at Porto

Iker Casillas gifted a young boy his boots which reduced the child to tears having been overcome by his emotions. This video clearly depicts the fact that even though the Real Madrid legend was not given the respect he deserved at Bernabeu in his last days, he is widely loved and respected by the fans of his new club, Porto.

Casillas was surprisingly ousted from Real Madrid in a very unceremonious fashion. Amid immense pressure from football fans and media, Casillas was given a chance to convey his farewell message in a press conference. He broke down in front of the whole world.

Though, his love for the game and the fans never lets him down. There have been various instances of Casillas giving away his jerseys and other accessories to the fans.

This Porto fan was visibly happy after receiving Iker’s boots, but he was not able to control his emotions and broke down in front of his family. The lad kept shouting ‘Gracias Iker’, which stands for ‘Thank you Iker’ in Spanish.

The Spanish national has received loads of adulation since moving to the Portuguese giants. His performances at the club have also warranted the level of respect and admiration he received from the club’s supporters. It is only a display of this emotion that was encapsulated in the child’s reaction on getting the custodians boots. Further it also shows the great rapport that the Porto keeper has with his fans whether they were in the white of Madrid or the Blue and white of Porto.
