If you thought it wasn’t catching on earlier, it definitely is now! Thai footballer Theeraton Bunmathan scored a wondergoal directly from a corner and then celebrated it in style, doing the Ronaldo sack celebration.
Bunmathan curled a beautiful set-piece which flew into the unmarked far corner of the goal, over the goalkeeper. Following the goal, the midfielder celebrated with the crowd, and finished it up by celebrating the way Ronaldo does, jumping with style and presenting himself.
The Thai footballer has now added himself to an illustrious list of players who have scored directly from a corner kick, a list that includes names like Thierry Henry and Diego Forlan.
He has also become one of the few athletes to imitate Ronaldo’s celebration successfully, which is something quite unique, as a couple of American Football players injured themselves severely trying the same.
