Last week, nobody knew who Marcus Rashford was. Now, everybody who has watched Manchester United in the past two matches believe he is the next big thing at Old Trafford.

The 18-year-old forward first shot to fame when he helped the Red Devils clinch a Round of 16 spot in the Europa League after initially falling behind to Danish club FC Midtjylland. United eventually won 5-1 and qualified with a 6-3 aggregate.

He wasn’t done though. In the Super Sunday game in the Premier League against Arsenal, he popped up with two goals and an assist to help United win 3-2 and severely dent the Gunners’ title hopes. Both goals were scored in the first half within the span of just three minutes.

To celebrate his amazing achievement at Old Trafford, YouTube user Jamie Bateson recreated Rashford’s brace on FIFA 16.

It is definitely not an easy task to score past a goalkeeper of the calibre of Petr Cech who has kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League this season. For an 18-year-old to do it twice on his Premier League debut is simply extraordinary.

Scoring two was a bonus: Rashford

Rashford himself was over the moon and it was evident when he spoke to Sky Sports. “This is my first game in the Premier League, so obviously it's been amazing,” he said.

“To score two has been a bonus, so hopefully we can carry it on and go again the next game.”

United boss Louis van Gaal was also full of praise for Rashford. “Youngsters often play well in the first match,” the Dutch boss said. “The second is different. Marcus played well in both so he is a special talent.”

Even Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said he was surprised by Rashford’s intelligence and movement to score both goals. “He could be a very positive surprise for Manchester United,” the French manager had said after the game.
