Ex-arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was in the limelight again last night when Denmark played Turkey.
The striker was inside the six-yard box when Christian Eriksen found him with a pass that should have rifled the back of the net.
But instead of turning on the spot and firing it home, Bendtner tried to attempt a near-impossible back heel scorpion flick which went horribly wrong and allowed Turkey to clear as the big Dane fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s 19-year-old defender Ozan Tufan scored a last gasp winner to give Turkey a 2-1 win over Denmark. Receiving the ball outside the area, he let fly a sublime strike that beat the goalkeeper who had no chance to make the save.
