Despite their early elimination from the Champions League, Ajax will be proud to have ended the tournament on a high as they registered a comfortable 4-0 win over APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday. With this win, Ajax have confirmed their spot in the Europa League.
Ajax’s 19-year-old winger Ricardo Kishna was crucial towards his team’s victory as it was his great run that led to the team’s third goal. Running from the left side of the pitch, Kishna dribbled past three Ajax defenders to set up the goal for Davy Klaassen who headed it in.
Kishna’s father is ethnically Indian, but he was born brought up in the Netherlands and is of Dutch-Surinamese descent. A highly rated talent, Kishna is regarded as one of the biggest talents to come out of the famous Ajax academy in years and has drawn comparisons to Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.
