Video: Schalke and PAOK prepare for Champions League play-off

Schalke and PAOk speak about first leg of Champions League play-off.

Benedikt Hoewedes, Schalke captain: “Yes, all our players know what it is about tomorrow. We are looking forward to this task and I think last year we have worked hard in order to have the chance to make this step into the Champions League. And so we will approach this game with concentration and highly motivated tomorrow.”

Benedikt Hoewedes, Schalke captain: “Saloniki is a good team, for sure. (Kyriakos) Papadopoulos (note: Schalke defender from Greece) has certainly told us that they were at least on par in the game against (Metalist) Kharkiv, if not partly better. So, we are warned, but on the other hand I’m absolutely convinced that we can go into this match with a lot of self-confidence – considering all our qualities – and that we’re having good chances to win this game.”

Huub Stevens, PAOK head coach: “I’m currently enjoying my work at PAOK and one has to be professional, to give everything for the club accordingly. I think this is what I have also done in the years when I was here at Schalke. And I will do the same now with PAOK and I think that this is quite normal.”
