Zlatan has confirmed he will leave PSG

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is without a doubt one of the best strikers in Europe. The Swede has confirmed he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer after ruling out the possibility of extending his contract.

A host of Premier League clubs are now chasing his signature with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal linked with the striker. But West Ham have emerged as a surprise candidate with their co-owner David Sullivan wanting to sign the player.

“We have a list of about ten strikers all over Europe, and most of our money will go into signing a striker. That is the plan for next season. I'd love Ibrahimovic from PSG, but whether he'd come to us I don't know. I know he's 34 but he's a fantastic player”

West Ham have been a brilliant side this season and are in the running to finish in the Champions League places. The club has played very brave football under Slaven Bilic and have been difficult to beat in the Premier League.

Sullivan said that a striker is one of the priorities this transfer window but refused to give out any names saying, “There are a number of top Premier League players we may be bidding for, top goalscorers, but I can't name them. I can't comment on players from other teams.”

West Ham already have a quality player in Dimitri Payet and he has been in outstanding form for them. The team have defeated the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool this season and are currently 5th in the table.

“The squad we have at West Ham now is the best we've had in six years, by a long, long way. We will be adding to that squad in the summer and hopefully we'll be a bit better next year.” Sullivan added.

Zlatan confirms interest from Premier League clubs

With his contract running at the end of the season Ibrahimovic will be a free agent in the summer. And despite his age there is no doubting he is still one of the bests players on the planet.

The player himself has confirmed that there is interest from several Premier League clubs saying, “Yes, there is interest from the Premier League, I can confirm that, the Premier League is the league in the world all people and fans speak about.”

If West Ham manage to finish in the top four this season then who knows Zlatan might just decide on a move to East London.
