West Ham's Diego Poyet apologizes for old tweets that mocked Andy Carroll

19-year-old Diego Poyet was very critical of current teammate Andy Carroll when he was 16.

Diego Poyet, who has joined West Ham this summer from Sunderland, came to the spotlight for his old tweets of him mocking his new teammate Andy Carroll.

He had made fun of the English striker on more than one occasion, however, the two has since then patched up, with Carroll even suggesting that Poyet will be making a cup of tea for the former for the next one month.

Poyet regrets tweeting about Carroll when he was 16

Diego Poyet is the son of Sunderland manager Gus Poyet, and was already in the news for calling his new club ‘scum’ on Twitter when he was 16.
