Martin Odegaard is reported to be on the verge of being signed up by Bayern Munich on Wednesday after the 15-year-old Norwegian wonder kid had been travelling to some of Europe’s biggest clubs for a transfer move from his current club Stromsgodset.

It has been reported by German news agency Sport1 that Bayern Munich are ready to declare the acquisition of Europe’s most sought young player. The German champions were one of the clubs, along with English club Liverpool and Dutch side Ajax, wherein Odegaard had trained for a few days.

The attacking midfielder will turn 16 on Wednesday and after training with Pep Guardiola’s side at the Bavarian capital is scheduled to sign a long-term contract with Bayern to commemorate the occasion. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the Bayern Munich chairman had recently stated that Odegaard was the “talent of the century”.

The teenage sensation had set a new record in October when he became the youngest player in a European Championship qualifier when he played for Norway against Bulgaria, at the age of 15 years and 300 days. He had played his debut match against United Arab Emirates when he was aged just 15 years and 253 days.
