Zinedine Zidane planning to bring Juventus' Director of Sport to Real Madrid

Fabio Paratici played a huge role in bringing players like Pogba and Morata to Juventus

With the season coming to an end, it seems like Real Madrid Manager Zinedine Zidane has already started preparing for the next campaign. Reports from AS suggest that Zidane is keen on bringing in a Director of Sport and for that he wants to hire Juventus’ Director of Sport, Fabio Paratici for the upcoming season. He is renowned for his knack for finding talent in the making.

Director of Sport at Real Madrid has been a vacant position since 2014 after Miguel Pardeza was relieved from the designation and Zidane seems to be sure that Paratici would be an apt candidate. The Madrid coach is known to have a lot of ties in Turin, dating back to his playing days and has received radiant reports about Paratici, who joined Juventus' backroom staff from Sampdoria in 2010.

Paratici had joined Juventus in 2010 and played a key role in the signings of Pogba, Morata, and Coman. He had suggested the signing of Paul Pogba in 2012 when he was struggling to find a place in the first team at Manchester United and acquired his formation rights for just one million euros.

He also played a key role in the signing of Alvaro Morata, who is now being sought out by Real Madrid for 30 million euros to sell him on and make a profit.

According to Mediaset, Madrid is gathering information about Paratici's work status quo in Italy, now that Florentino is seriously considering his signing to bring him to the Spanish capital. Despite getting to the Champions League final, the broad agreement is that the current squad is unbalanced. Considering the surplus of attacking midfielders and not enough defensive midfielders.

The absence of a Director of Sport does have its shortcomings and was the reason why Madrid bought Asier Illarramendi for 40 million to sell him back to his former club for 20. It's also the reason why there is no likely standby for Marcelo when he gets injured or suspended.

Though the Serie A champions won’t let Paratici leave willingly, the negotiations are on according to reports to bring him to Real Madrid, though the issue would be dealt with properly only after the Champions League final in Milan.
