On the 22nd of February, the Daily Mirror released an interesting interview with towering forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who apparently spoke about the Premier League and his refusal, at the age of 16, to have a trial with Arsenal.

The PSG hitman took to social media Twitter, and mocked the tabloid for making up the interview. He also confirms, that the English newspaper is guilty of doing the same on several other occasions.

The excerpts of the fake interview can be found below.

“England is a very strong league, with three or four of the best teams in Europe – but, if I had played there, I would have destroyed it, like I have everywhere else.” he said, talking about how he would have fared in the Premier League.

He added, “I’m always amused when I am asked about not having tested myself in England.”

He went on to talk about how Arsenal might regret the decision of not offering him a contract as a tender 16-year old before his meteoric rise to fame.

“Arsenal could have happened, as everybody knows – but I would not do a trial. Who do you think regrets that more, Arsene Wenger or Zlatan?”

When asked about not being tested in the toughest league of them all (EPL), he replied with disdain.

He said, “The last time I faced England, which is supposed to be the best players in the Premier League, what happened?

“Maybe people need to be reminded that it was the Zlatan show.”
