It seems that the transition of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition from Windows Live to Steam will face a little delay. The developers Bandai has announced that the game will be shifted to Steam in December. For those who don’t know about the game, Dark Souls is an action role-playing video game set in an open world environment. It was developed and published for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 by From Software in Japan and by Namco Bandai Games internationally. On August 24, 2012, the "Prepare to Die" edition of Dark Souls was released for PC, featuring additional content previously unavailable to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users.

It was originally planned that for a period of time beginning “sometime in November,”GFWL users will be able to transfer Dark Souls characters, progress and achievements to their Steam accounts. GFWL Rankings, however, will not be transferred to Steam. The Steam page reads the following message:

“We are working hard to finalize the process to move your Dark Souls: Prepare to Die saves and achievements to Steam. We need to conduct additional testing and we are now targeting December to begin this process. We'll have more information in the coming weeks. Thank you very much for your patience!”

As mentioned above, the PC version of the game was released in August 2012. But the players played the game, they thought that the game need some better visuals and also there were some bugs which needed to be fixed. So, the developers decided to shift the game from Windows Live to Steam. To check out the video featuring the visuals for the PC version, click here.
