The Pokemon Trading Card Game will be getting a new expansion this February. The XY – Primal Cash expansion will be arriving in stores on February 5th, 2015 for Pokémon TCG and will include the new Primal Reversion and Ancient Traits.
Players who purchase the XY – Primal Clash expansion will be able to use an in-pack code to unlock some cool new cards for the iOS version of the game. The expansion will also include booster packs, two new theme decks Oceans Core and Earths Pulse, and more than 160 new cards. Of these, there will be 12 new Pokémon-EX which includes Primal Kyogre-EX and Primal Groudon-EX, and mega-evolutions like Mega Gardevoir-EX and Mega Aggron-EX.
The Ancient Traits will provide new advantages for Pokémon in battle, while the Spirit Link and Special Energy cards now create new ways to strategise. The expansion adds 25 new Trainer cards (consisting of four full-art rare ultra cards and two Special Energy cards). The Booster packs include 10 cards and will be available for $3.99 each. The theme decks consisting of 60 cards are priced at $12.99 each.
