Visual Concepts explains decision to exclude Zack Ryder from WWE 2K15

CM Punk in WWE 2K15

Fans of Zack Ryder were pretty upset when he wasn’t included in the WWE 2K15 roster, but now developers Visual Concepts have revealed the real reason behind the decision. Two developers from Visual Concepts appeared on the Pro Wrestling Torch Radio Show recently where they discussed about the development for WWE 2K15. The host of the show allowed fans to ask the questions which lead to one fan asking about why Zack Ryder was not included in the game.

According to the two developers, the reason why the wrestler did not appear in WWE 2K15 was because he wasn’t featured much in WWE in 2014 due to his injury. The developers then made the decision to not include him in the game due to his lack of TV presence throughout the year. However, they did state that they will revaluate Ryder when he is back to wrestling later this year. So there is a chance that the wrestler will appear in WWE 2K16 once he returns to the TV show.

The developers also stated that they work closely with WWE to make up the roster for each WWE game. So it is very likely that WWE officials made the decision to exclude Ryder since they aren’t too fond of the wrestler. CM Punk has stated before that WWE tends to favour certain wrestlers over others.

There are several other wrestlers who have not been scanned for the game such as fan favourites The Undertaker, Vince McMohan, CM Punk and the Rock. The developers did not give a reason as to why they were left out. It’s likely that CM Punk wasn’t scanned because he has left WWE and the Rock is too busy with the film industry.

But the developers have promised fans that this will likely not be the case with WWE 2K16, as they hope to scan every wrestler missing from WWE 2K15.
