First Indian to take part in FIM World Rally Championship

Sealine Cross Country Rally – Round 2 of the 2012 FIM Cross Country Rally World Championship will be held at Qatar between 15th and 21st April 2012.

Cross Country rallies are designed to be staged over a variety of terrains and are intended to prove the skill and endurance of competitors, and the reliability of their machines. The Sealine Cross Country Rally is one of the few events in the world of motor racing in which both cars and motorcycles compete on the same course. The rally boasts of 5 hard days of competition, with varied desert terrain of soft sand, dunes, hard and rocky terrain, making the event one of the most testing events in the world.

Suresh Babu Janardhan from Coimbatore will be the first Indian to take part in this FIM World Rally Championship event on his Suzuki RMX450Z motorcycle.
