Harry Kane announced on Twitter that he’s expecting his first child with his girlfriend Katie Goodland. The 22-year-old tweeted an adorable photo of his dogs to share the news with the world. Kane posted a photo of his two dogs holding signs which read ”Mum and Dad are getting us a human!!!!” and “Guard dog duty starts January 2017".
Kane and his girlfriend grew up together and even went to the same school. The duo have been dating for almost 5 years now. The England forward and Premier League star spoke about their relationship in an interview given to Esquire magazine in 2015.
"We went to school together, so she’s seen my whole career. Of course, she’s finding it a little crazy. I think she’s even been in the papers a couple of times taking the dogs out”.
Kane had earlier expressed his desire to be a father. Speaking ahead of Euro 2016 he said, “Yes, it’s something I’d like to do in the future. It’s not on the agenda now, but you never know with these things”
Katie Goodland is a beauty with brains and has a degree in Sports Science. She actively uses social media to support her boyfriend and his club. The couple live in a house in Essex London and shares the house with their two dogs.
Kane is currently playing for North London club Tottenham Hotspur. He joined the Arsenal youth academy at the age of 8 but was released just after one year. He joined Spurs in 2004 and made his senior team debut in 2011 in a UEFA Europa League match.
Kane scored 31 goals in all competition in 2014-15 season, 21 of which were in the league. He was named PFA Young Player of the Year for that season. Kane won the Golden Boot award the following season, scoring 25 goals in the league which guided Spurs to 2nd place and a UEFA Champions League qualification.
