KOOH Sports announces tie up with Special Olympics Bharat

5th November, 2013, Mumbai: KOOH Sports and Special Olympics Bharat(SOB) announced a three-year association that will enable both the organisations to leverage individual capabilities and competences and support each other for unified development of sports at the grass root level in India.

The three fold objective of the partnership is to unify grass root level athletics with initiatives for special needs children, to provide employment opportunity to volunteer coaches of Special Olympics Bharat and access to world class Master Training Workshops for KOOH Sports Coaches.

About Special Olympics Bharat

Special Olympics Bharat offers training and competition opportunities in 24 Olympic-style individual and team sports for persons with intellectual disabilities. We organise training and competitions at local, district, state and national and international levels. The best performers; also referred to as the “Selected Probables” attend National Coaching Camps supported by the Sports Authority of India to prepare for international competitive events. Over 23,750 athletes have participated in the National Games since 2002.
