Martin Kelly has officially been names in the England squad now, making it 6 Liverpool FC players joining up with the England squad for the EUROs.
Along with Martin Kelly, Andy Carroll, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Glen Johnson are also in the squad. Roy Hodgson decided on putting the youngster through on the basis that Gary Cahill was injured and not physically prepared to participate in the EUROs come less than a week’s time.
The youngster is certainly a prospect for the future, and I’m delighted to hear that he has made the England squad for the EUROs. It certainly brightens the day following the decision of Dirk Kuyt to move to Fenerbahce earlier today.
