The Rio Open 2024 is a famous ATP tour event and a former WTA International tennis tournament. It is one of the few ATP 500 events that is played on clay, along with the Hamburg and Barcelona Open. The tournament will commence from February 19, 2024, to February 25, 2024.

From 1947, Rio de Janeiro International was a combined women's and men's tournament played on outdoor courts until 1969. From 1989 to 1990, the Rio de Janeiro Open was played on indoor carpet courts.
