We on our part will continue to support emerging talent in the country, across disciplines and help create more global Heroes, like Anirban. Knowing him, I am certain this achievement is only the beginning, and Anirban will continue to make all of us proud in the future as well." Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (HMCL), the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, today celebrated ace golfer Anirban Lahiri’s historic fifth place finish at the PGA Championship, at a special event here today, reiterating its long-term commitment to keep supporting Indian sports.

Mr Pawan Munjal, Chairman, MD & CEO, Hero MotoCorp presented Anirban with a memento to mark his meteoric rise as a global Hero in the golfing arena. Anirban Lahiri, who started playing golf at a tender age of 8, has been a Brand Ambassador of Hero MotoCorp for over five years.

Speaking on the occasion, Lahiri said; “My success in the highly-competitive world of global golf is a testimony to what we can achieve with the right kind of support and encouragement. It gives me immense pleasure to share this moment with the Hero family and particularly with Mr. Munjal, who has been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement throughout my professional career. I am sure with the kind of commitment that Hero has in promoting sportspersons in the country, we will have many more champions emerging out of India in the coming year.”
