Feroz Singh Garewal moved 14 places to finish joint 18th

Hsinchu (Chinese Taipei), May 23 (IANS): Indian golfer Feroz Singh Garewal moved 14 places ahead to be joint 18th after the third round of the $120,000 Ambassador Asian Development Tour (ADT) tournament here on Saturday.

Feroz, who scored six-over 78 and two-under 70 in the first two rounds respectively, further improved his performance and carded three-under 69 in the penultimate round.

He took his total to one-over 217 and is currently sharing the 18th spot with Man-chang Sung of Taiwan at the Hsin Feng Golf and Country Club.

Meanwhile overnight leader Chan Shih-chang continued to dominate after carding a four-under 68 on Saturday. The local hotshot fired seven birdies against three bogeys for a three-day total of 12-under 204 to lead by four shots over countryman Lin Wen-tang, who signed for a 71.

Hsieh Tung-hung, also of Chinese Taipei, stayed another four shots back in third following a 68.

American duo Sam Cyr and Micah Lauren Shin posted rounds of 72 and 71 respectively to share fourth place on 213 at the Ambassador ADT, which is the 11th leg of the 2015 ADT season.
