New Delhi, Feb 12 (IANS) Hockey India (HI) Wednesday inducted Food Corporation of India (FCI) as an associate member.
HI now has 19 associate, 27 affiliated and two state Olympic association members.
With this inclusion, FCI Sports Promotion Board can take part in the National Championships.
“FCI Sports Promotion Board has played a major role in promoting hockey by recruiting young and talented players like Surender Kumar and Keshav Dutt. I am confident that they will continue their initiatives in the development and promotion of Indian hockey in future,” said HI secretary general Narinder Batra.
E. Vishwanath is the president and D.P. Shukla the general secretary of FCI Sports Promotion Board.
