Hockey India (HI) high performance director Roelant Oltmans on Tuesday said the women's team is ready to achive its target of finishing as the top two sides in the Hockey World League (HWL) Round 2 that starts from Saturday at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here. "These girls are really eager to learn and I can see the progress. We are aiming at getting amongst the top two in order to clear for the next round," Oltmans said.

Centre-half Ritu Rani-led side on Tuesday went through a steady dose of fitness drills and training sessions to iron out their flaws.

"The recently concluded Spain tour has really helped the girls in preparing and improving and it is a good test to show the capacity of the girls. The team is well in shape and ready for the challenge."

Under the guidance of Oltmans, Indian women are brushing up their proficiency ahead of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) tournament which serves as a part of the qualifiers for the Olympics.
