Indian acting maestro, Amitabh Bachchan congratulated the Indian Kabaddi team on their massive win of 74-20 against Argentina. The megastar tweeted that there should be more support for sports played and that there should be more pride in the victory. The actor also asked followers to expunge a bad habit of making negative comparisons about sports in our nation.

Amitabh Bachchan was recorded posting on social media,"Huge congratulations India. Some comments are saying score would be reverse in football. Stop putting India down! Be proud of our country's win and stop this disgusting habit of always comparing negatively about our nation,"

"Score would be three times the combined score of Kabaddi in favour of India, in cricket! Say this. Be proud of India. Proud to be an Indian," added the 74-year-old legend, whose son Abhishek Bachchan owns the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League.

A stuttering start to the Kabaddi World Cup for India

The host nation had a poor start to the campaign as they were shocked by South Korea in the first game. India then played well to defeat Australia but it was an expected result.

The game against Bangladesh was a show of pure domination and India easily came out as victors. The home side are set to face England in their final group game and they know a win against the Lions will be the perfect way to prepare for the semi-finals.

The host nation could end up facing Iran in the semis and that would be a tough tie to overcome but four wins on the trot would be the perfect setting for another march to the finals.
