The Indian men and women kabaddi teams began their 17th Asian Games campaign with victories - both winning against Bangladesh - in their preliminary round matches here Sunday.

The men's team defeated Bangladesh 30-15 in their opening round Group A match at the Songdo Global University Gymnasium. They built up a big lead of 10 points in the first half, winning it 16-6 and stretched their dominance in the second session, clinching it 14-9.
