Bengal Warriors vs Dabang Delhi: Can the Eagles upset the home team?

Dabang Delhi will be looking to convert their good performance in the last match into a win tonight

Dabang Delhi K.C. take on hosts Bengal Warriors in their matchup in season 3 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League tonight. The Delhi franchise put in their best performance in their previous match against the Jaipur Pink Panthers and went down only after putting up a valiant fight. They will be looking to continue in the same vein tonight and convert their performance into a much-awaited win.

To retain chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the league, the Dabangs need to give it their all and leave it all out on the mat against the Bengal Warriors tonight. Having accumulated 2 points from their 5 matches so far, it is time the Eagles step up and give fans across India a glimpse of why the team was rated so highly at the beginning of the tournament.

Star raider Kashiling Adake has been their most consistent player this season, producing another good performance against the Panthers in the last match, scoring 9 points. He will be very crucial for the Eagles tonight and they will look to his leadership to get them the win. Kashiling is due to leave the team to play for India in the ongoing South Asian Games and this will be his last match till the end of the Pune leg of the tournament.

Captain Ravinder Pahal, who was brought from the bench in the last match, put in a great shift and was very dynamic and influential throughout the match against Jaipur, scoring 9 points in total. He looked like the man who was the best defender in the league last year, and the team will surely be hoping that he continues performing in the same fashion going forward as well.

Pahal will have his task cut out against the Bengal Warriors’ raiders, the dynamic Nitin Tomar and the gangly Jang Kun Lee and he will have the onerous task of stopping them from going on a rampage. Tomar and Lee have scored 24 and 14 points so far respectively and offer different sorts of threats to the Delhi backline, where Pahal and Rajguru Subramaniam will be their principal opposition.

The Warriors have a perfect record so far this season, having won all 3 of their matches, and their defence has played a major role in that, with Girish Ernak and Nilesh Shinde exhibiting great coordination and and teamwork to limit their opponents.

Delhi need the win to consolidate their good outing in the last match and make it their first win of the season while Bengal will be looking to continue their perfect record so far.
