Pro Kabaddi - Injuries will not deter Patna Pirates' Sandeep Narwal and Sunil Kumar

After two back-to-back victories, Patna Pirates will play their last home game today against Bengal Warriors. Patna Pirates jumped to 4th place and recovered from their poor beginning in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi. Despite the absence of their regular captain Rakesh Kumar team is doing well in all department of the game.

Team Manager of Patna Pirates Kartik Sansanwal thanked the people of Patna for their great support. He sounded extremely confident ahead of the last home game.

“We always get lots of love and support from the people of Patna. We are thankful to the supporters. We were under pressure with the high expectations of people of Patna. People of Patna are very much attached with us. It was our responsibility to perform well and win all the matches,” Kartik said.

“We are very confident after 2 victories and will try our best to win the 3rd game today. Players are very passionate to win the game against Bengal Warriors.”

“Kabaddi is not like chess or carrom”

Patna Pirates has researched Bengal Warriors well and made strategies accordingly. Kartik pointed out Nilesh Shinde as one of their key men.

“We have seen their games and studied their game pattern. Their defence is very good. Nilesh Shinde is leading the defence very well. Their right cover and right corner players are very strong. You will see different strategies against every individual player. This will be a good game,” he said.

He also spoke about the injury to captain Sandeep Narwal and defender Sunil Kumar.

“This is a physical game – players do face injuries during the game. This is not like chess and carrom. Sandeep Narwal and Sunil got injured, but it is their passion for the game which never let them stop. Small injuries can’t stop them from playing. All the players are playing good.

“Sunil Kumar has a cut just before eye. We don’t want to take any risk on him, so he is covering it. Minor injuries can’t stop him,” he concluded.
