Welcome to the LIVE coverage of the first match of tonight’s double header between Dabang Delhi and the season 1 champions Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad at the ongoing Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4.
The Eagles had a mixed start to their season 4 campaign, losing their opening match 23-31 to Bengal Warriors while drawing their next encounter 27-27 against the table toppers Puneri Paltan. They lost their 3rd encounter 25-27 to season 2 champions U Mumba in a closely contested encounter, however, the Eagles registered their first win of the tournament by beating the Banglore-based franchise convincingly in their last match. The signing of Meraj Sheykh has been a revolution for the Eagles this season as his presence in the starting 7 brings more balance to the Eagles' squad as well as his tally of 18 raid points is the highest by any Dabang player in season 4.
Similarly, the Panthers didn’t have a best of starts to their season 4 campaign, they lost their opening tie against U Mumba 34-36 while won their 2nd encounter against Telugu Titans 28-24. They drew their 3rd match against the Bulls while won their next match against Bengal Warriors, however, lost their last match to Puneri Paltan. The newest addition to the squad, Shabeer Bappu has been in sublime form for the Panthers in season 4 and once again a lot would depend on how he manages to play against a spirited Dabang side.
The two sides have met each other on 6 occasions in the PKL history with the Panthers winning the tie on 4 of those occasions and losing 1.

Dabang Delhi: The Eagles’ right defenders in Sunil Kumar and D. Gopu will be up against the trio of Jasvir Singh, Rajesh Narwal and Shabeer Bappu who are raid from the left side of the mat. They need to defend deep in behind the bonus line in order to stop them in their stride.
Jaipur Pink Panthers: The main thing that the Panthers should be doing is to not give any silly points away to out of form Kashiling Adake. Rajesh Narwal and Rann Singh will have to neutralize the threat possessed by Dabang’s Meraj Sheykh and Kashiling Adake on the right side of the mat.
