Well, that was fun.
Most of us stepped in today, dreading a dull and dreary affair. But this game showed just how much the two sides have improved. Kerala looked supremely good in patches, their one-touch passing and off the ball movement an absolute pleasure to watch. If they get the consistency right, they'll go a long way this season.
Pune too looked comfortable on the ball, but again, like Kerala, only in patches. Most of their best play came through the educated right foot of Tato and if it were not for the wastefulness of Traore upfront; they should have won this.
Great game, great crowd, couldn't have asked for more

Well, that was an exciting close to an entertaining, end-to-end match. Pune will be kicking themselves - for conceding such a soft goal, and for not converting any of their gazillion chances.
Kerala went into a shell for twenty odd minutes after that early goal but grew in confidence as the half wore on. Rafique and Hossain especially have been very good.
