This has been a top class performance from the Indian team and they have shown why they are the best in the business. You have to appreciate Thailand for their energy here. They have managed to win hearts but it is the host nation that will head into the final tomorrow, where they face Iran.

Kiran Parmar gets a bonus as we head into the last minute and Dharmaraj Cheralathan follows that up with a superb ankle hold. Kiran Parmar with yet another point. The last raid is a touch point for Thailand. IT IS OVER.

22:24 (IST)21 OCT 2016

38' India 70-16 Thailand - We are heading into the last couple of minutes of the game and this has been a tough lesson in kabaddi for Thailand, who have tasted defeat in an unprecedented manner. India have six men on the mat as Santi comes on to raid. Nitin Tomar raids quickly and he gets another point. He has scored 7 points in the second half itself. WOW.

22:21 (IST)21 OCT 2016

37' India 69-12 Thailand - Nitin Tomar raids for India with under four minutes remaining. The game is done but India are relentless. They want to get as many points as possible. Phonchoo is taken off by Parmar.

22:16 (IST)21 OCT 2016

33' India 64-11 Thailand - The game resumes after the Time Out and it is an empty raid for Thailand, who then take down Nitin Tomar. Manjeet Chhillar is lurking and he blocks the raider, Mohit gets the ankle hold after that. India are taking it to the next level here.

22:13 (IST)21 OCT 2016

31' India 62-10 Thailand - The points are now coming easy for India and Thailand are looking out of sorts. Nitin Tomar raids and there is another SUPER RAID. Uses the lobby beautifully to take three along the way. Pardeep Narwal is substituted for Cheralathan. Surender Nada with a fantastic ankle hold. Great tackling. India have magnificent. ALL OUT again. Sixth one.

22:10 (IST)21 OCT 2016

29' India 55-10 Thailand - Thailand are still looking energetic but India are too good. Pardeep Narwal with another raid but that is too much for the Indian raider. Thailand get a tackle point but the defender is bleeding. This is not a good sight. Crowd is in distress. Concern on the look of Indian players as well.

Second half underway!!!

21:54 (IST)21 OCT 2016

It would be safe to say that India have already sealed the match but the question remains, how many will they score. They could touch 74 here, given how good the game has been. We will surely see Rahul Chaudhari, Mohit Chhillar and Nitin Tomar in action in the second half. We will be back.

21:45 (IST)21 OCT 2016

15' India 25-6 Thailand - It might be too early to say but I can stick my neck out and comment that India have sealed the game here. Iran might not want to look at this game. Finally a tackle point for Thailand as they take down Ajay Thakur with a double thigh hold. Thailand take one more. They are taking a few points here. Pardeep Narwal gets one more point with a quick touch.

21:43 (IST)21 OCT 2016

4' India 5-0 Thailand - Do or die raid for Thailand and Manjeet Chhillar combines with Surjeet to destroy the raider. India lead by three point. In form Ajay Thakur comes on to raid and he evades a tackle to get the point. India are up and running in this semi-final and Thailand are down to four men already. Another touch point for Pardeep. He is smiling.

21:31 (IST)21 OCT 2016

2' India 2-0 Thailand - The away team starts the game with Phonchoo raiding. Empty raid brings on Anup Kumar to a huge roar. He searches for the bonus and he gets it. So now Iran awaits the winner of the second semi-final between India and Thailand. We are edging closer to the start of the game. Surender Nada is back in the starting line-up and he will play a big role in my opinion.

21:12 (IST)21 OCT 2016

The game between South Korea and Iran is over and the latter has won by 28-22. Iran have become the first team to make it to the final of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

19:42 (IST)21 OCT 2016

Hello friends and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and today we have the second semi-final for you as India take on Thailand.

India will start this match as overwhelming favourites and will be expected to smash Thailand, thereby making it to the final. The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup did not start on the right note for the host nation and they were stunned by an energetic South Korea side in the opening match. However, it turned out to be the wake up call that brought India out of what seemed to be a sluggish slumber.

Following the loss to South Korea, India destroyed all opponents that came their way during the group stage to finish second in Pool A but with a huge score difference of +174. All doubts after the defeat were put to bed by a string of comprehensive performances and individuals putting their hands up to be counted. Anup Kumar, Ajay Thakur, Pardeep Narwal, Manjeet Chhillar and Surjeet have outshined other individuals in the Indian team during the group stage.

India are likely to stick to the same starting line-up as previous matches with Pardeep Narwal and Ajay Thakur forming the attack while Manjeet Chhillar and Surjeet guarding the defensive end of the mat. Having stars like Mohit Chhillar, Surender Nada and Rahul Chaudhari on the bench is going to be a huge plus for India and they can make alterations in case something does not go right.

Thailand, for their sheer energy and commitment, deserve a special award and, reaching the semi-final from a group that included Japan and Kenya is a big achievement for them. A mere look at the points scored by Thailand will tell you that they are a prolific side, be it in attack or defence, which likes to take the game to the opposition. In the games they have won, Thailand have produced high scores (65 vs Poland, 53 vs Kenya and 69 vs USA).

India: Anup Kumar (Captain), Rahul Chaudhari, Manjeet Chhillar, Jasvir Singh, Deepak Niwas Hooda, Pardeep Narwal, Mohit Chhillar, Surender Nada, Surjeet, Ajay Thakur, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Kiran Parmar, Nitin Tomar, Sandeep Narwal

Thailand: Khomsan Thongkham (Captain), Aniwat Phakphian, Chanwit Wichian, Phodsawi Sawangyai, Pramot Saising, Santi Bunchoet, Sarawut Hopet, Warit Songsri, Kittichai Kanket, Peeradach Jantajam, Phuwanai Wannasaen, Sasithon Rungsawang, Khunakon Chanjaroen, Tin Phonchoo
