67' Carvajal is still a threat bombing forward, though. He nutmegs Reus before laying it off to Ronaldo. Cristiano's extravagant backheel is cut out by Batra, but it runs to Benzema who almooooost plays in Carvajal through on goal. Schmelzer did brilliantly to recover.

Real Madrid 2 - 2 Borussia Dortmund
What a fasinating game that was. Madrid were well on top in the first half, but their intensity dropped visibly in the second half. Dortmund clawed their way back into the game, and the moment Reus ran onto the field you sensed that they would up their game. They did - if Reus stays fit, they will take some beating - and earned a deserved draw.
It was an exhilirating end-to-end game with plenty of chances for both teams and four really good team goals; and it could have gone either way. On balance, though, a point was fair for both teams.
This means that Dortmund top the group, and Madrid remain second. WHOEVER MEETS THEM WILL BE CURSING THEIR LUCK FOR TOPPING THEIR GROUP, THOUGH!
