Portugal's Nelson Evora has become the fifth jumper to qualify automatically! He's jumped 16.99m!
No final for Renjith Maheshwary at the 2016 Olympics.
That's a disappointing outing for the Indian triple jumper. He's 30th now with no chance of qualifying.

USA's Will Claye FINALLY clears 16.95. He jumps 17.05 in his final jump to qualify directly for the final!
Cherif Dia of Mali has just jumped his season best of 16.45 after a foul on his first attempt. But that is only good enough for 17th place at the moment.
Renjith is currently 25th with most athletes having made two attempts. He needs to jump close to his personal best to qualify for the final.
We've still only had THREE athletes who have crossed 16.95m. Will we have any more?
He's moved up to 12th place in his group but there's no guarantee he will stay there. He really needs a massive jump in his third and final attempt to qualify.
Poland's Karol Hoffmann is in the running for the final after two jumps. His two jumps were 16.79 and 16.75. He hasn't automatically qualified but he's still the fourth best at the moment.
Italy's Fabrizio Donato and 2012 bronze medalist only managed 16.54 in his first jump.
USA's Will Claye has taken a second attempt and jumped 16.76m. Still not good enough to qualify automatically but he's still comfortably in the Top 12.
Renjith Maheshwary's first jump is not enough to qualify in the Top 12.
As things stand, here are your finalists so far:

USA's Christian Taylor qualifies with his first jump! 17.24 with the help of a 0.2m/s tail wind.
A number of athletes have jumped only in the high 15m and low 16m. We still only have two qualifiers from both groups.
WE HAVE ANOTHER QUALIFIER! It's China again! With a jump of 16.97, Shuo Cao has juuust managed to qualify.
Japan's Daigo Hasegawa has jumped only 16.17. That 16.95m qualification mark looks tough at the moment. But each athlete has 3 jumps.
France's Benjamin Compaore has jumped only 16.34. There's that head wind again. Who will jump more than 17m next?
Cuba's Ernesto Reve has jumped 16.13 and Bahamas jumper Leevan Sands has jumped 16.47. Both had a tail wind to assist them but not good enough to qualify just yet.
Germany's Max Hess is up next and it's a very poor effort. He's only managed 13.88 - high school stuff! Not good enough for the Olympics.
DONG! China's Bin Dong has qualified for the finals with his first jump with a jump of 17.10!
There's a head wind that may be causing problems for the athletes.
Guyana's Troy Doris has jumped 16.54. Not good enough to qualify yet. Trust them to come back strong in the next jump.
USA's Will Claye has gone first and he's jumped 16.43. It's only his first jump and nowhere close to the qualifying distance. But he will be warming up for a better jump.

This is Maheshwary's third appearance at the Olympics. He had previously competed in 2008 (Beijing) and 2012 (London).

All three athletes are in the qualifying round in Rio 2016 as well.
Cuba's Pedro Pichardo is also a favourite for a medal. His Personal Best is 18.08m set in 2015.
The favourite is USA's Christian Taylor. He is the defending Olympic champion having won gold in 2012 and he is also the 2015 World Champion. His Personal Best is 18.21m and this season has a best of 17.78m.
The 30-year-old from Kerala jumped a Personal Best of 17.30m which he set a month ago in Bengaluru. That is well over the qualification mark to reach the final.
We have 48 jumpers split into two groups in the qualifying round. Maheshwary is in Group B.
