MMA News: Dana White promises a 'Cyborg vs Rousey' fight!

The President’s promise!

The Octagon of the UFC is meant to host the best fights in the world. With that said, the MMA community has been waiting for ages to watch Ronda Rousey collide with the Brazilian beast Cris Cyborg.

The two contemporaries have shown their reign of terror in separate organisations until recently. And now Dana White has long-awaited news for everyone.

The UFC President recently dropped a bombshell on the Fox Sports show “Speak For Yourself’ when he stated that he feels completely positive about the fight between Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg.

"Everybody wants it right here right now, it doesn't happen that way," White said.

“I promise you this, Ronda has to come in and fight on December 30th. Ronda has to win. The girl (Amanda Nunes) she is fighting is no pushover, she's nasty and tough and Ronda has a fight on her hands there. She wins that fight, her and Cris Cyborg are eventually going to fight."

Cyborg has been constantly challenging and calling out Ronda Rousey. She went to the extent of dropping a small letter outside Rousey’s training centre.

The Brazilian appears frustrated at learning that the former champ won’t face her upon her return nor responded to her challenge. Yes, one can notice that Cyborg would be a bad match for Rousey after nearly one year of absence, but she is an ultimate test for her.

Cyborg is trying her best to gain her attention from carrying out an online campaign to challenging her on FS1.

"Ronda wants (to fight Cyborg)," White continued to tell Whitlock. "It will be the biggest pay-per-view in UFC history. I don't know if it will happen (right away if she defeats Nunes) — we'll see what happens. This thing has to play out first."

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion will make her long-awaited return when she will face Amanda Nunes, to regain what she believes is rightfully hers. The fight will take place a day prior to the New Year’s Eve and will definitely headline the event, UFC 207.
