UFC Fight Night 75: Barnett vs Nelson results and reactions

Barnett showed off some precise striking technique and proved his credentials as a veteran

The results from UFC’s latest Fight Night installment, Fight Night 75 are in that was headlined by a solid heavyweight bout between Josh Barnett and Roy Nelson. Below are the results from the event that was held at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan:

- Josh Barnett def. Roy Nelson by unanimous decision (48-47 x2, 50-45)

- Uriah Hall def. Gegard Mousasi by TKO (strikes) at 0:25 of Round Two

- Kyoji Horiguchi def. Chico Camus by unanimous decision (30-27 x3)

- Takeya Mizugaki def. George Roop by unanimous decision (29-28 x3)

- Diego Brandao def. Katsunori Kikuno by TKO (punches) at 0:28 of Round One

- Mizuto Hirota and Teruto Ishihara fight to a draw (29-28, 28-29, 29-29)

- Keita Nakamura def. Li Jingliang by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:17 of Round Three

- Nick Hein def. Yusuke Kasuya by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28 x2)

- Kajan Johnson def. Naoyuki Kotani by unanimous decision (29-28 x2, 30-27)

- Shinsho Anzai def. Roger Zapata by TKO (injury) at 0:47 of Round Three

The main event of the evening did not see a highlight knockout, but a dominant performance from the former champion Barnett who earned a unanimous decision victory over. The Middleweight bout between Mousasi and Hall saw an upset finish when Uriah connected with a spinning heel kick to follow it with punches until the ref stopped the fight. In a rare draw, Mizuto Hirota and Teruto Ishihara shared the honors and also were greeted to some good news post-fight when they were both offered a six-figure UFC deal by Dana White.

All in all it was a very good card which saw some good brawls and other UFC fighters made it a point to share their thoughts of the event from Japan on twitter:
