Hyderabad Skykings won a promotional game 29-28 against Bangalore Warhawks in extra time at HAL sports complex, Bangalore.
At the end of first quarter, Bangalore Warhawks, courtesy of a solitary touchdown by Roshan Lobo, led 6-0. Hyderabad Skykings hit back immediately with a touchdown from Teja in the second quarter to level the game 6-6. No goal kicks were converted in both the quarters.
In the third quarter, both the teams, Cinto for Bangalore and Rahul for Hyderabad, scored a touchdown each and had an extra point converted. The scoreboard read 14-14.
As the game resumed in the final quarter, two touchdowns were scored by both teams. An extra point was also converted by either sides, as nothing separated them at the full time whistle with the scores levelled at 28-28.
The game going into the extra time, much to the excitement of the 3,000-odd spectators who had gathered, eventually found a winner in Hyderabad Skykings as Teja scored from twenty yards.
