Hall of Famer Cris Carter has trust issues with the Philadelphia Eagles

There is always a reason behind every player being released. And we always wonder about that reason after any release makes the news. I have a feeling there will be a lot more players coming forward to speak their minds after the release of DeSean Jackson, the way Hall of Famer Cris Carter has, on Twitter.

Carter clearly did not think the Eagles could trust him to stay clean.

Carter admits he would have stayed clean in Philadelphia. How many players do you think left Philadelphia on bad terms? I can think of two players at the moment – Brian Dawkins and Brian Westbook. I know they didn’t have any substance abuse problems. But the fact of the matter is, they may have stayed with Philadelphia if the Eagles were happy with them. I did factor in contract and injury issues too.

The tweeter asking the question has an interesting avi.

Also, is Chris Carter supporting DeSean Jackson by saying that cutting him was a mistake? That’s new.
